Sarah Finnane Design is a full service design firm built on my deep love of color, textures, and making a space feel cozy and inviting. We are committed to delivering well thought-out designs that are functional as well as beautiful.

Always a student of design, life took me on a different path after graduating from the University of Michigan, including a long stopover in the Chicago corporate world. But a move back to my home state of Michigan and three of my own home renovations shifted my focus to interior design and Sarah Finnane Design was born. 

I love to get to know our clients and work together with them to design spaces that are a unique reflection of the people that live in them. Focusing on keeping the process fun and as painless as possible, I strive for our meetings to be something we both look forward to. I believe in open communication, client-focused design and collaboration throughout the process. 

My design style centers on my love of combining the old with the new, finding ways to refresh well-loved pieces and spaces while showing clients how to take measured risks with their designs. Our goal is to bring a unique vision and depth to all of our projects making them not only one of a kind, but able to stand the test of time. No cookie cutters here.

My goal, whether designing a new home or simply styling bookshelves, is always to make a space my client is proud to say is theirs.

I live in a lovingly renovated midcentury home in Ann Arbor with my husband, Jay, two teenagers and my dog, Javier Baez Finnane.
